The Tonkinese is
produced by mating a Siamese to a Burmese. This results in a first
generation Tonkinese.
Tonkinese colours
are:
Natural mink
....... Brown
Champagne ........
Chocolate
Platinum
............. Blue
.... Lilac
As our Tonkinese are
first generation they are usually pointed in all of the above colours,
but we also get solid colours.
As with the Burmese and
Siamese, the Tonkinese is an outgoing, friendly and affectionate
cat
that will be into anything and everything.
In shape and size, the
Tonkinese is neither as long and angular as the Siamese nor as chunky
as
the Burmese, but they are a true cross between the two.
Now recognized
by the Co-Ordinating Council of Australia and the Australia Cat
Federation,
the Tonkinese is becoming more and more popular around Australia.
